how does it work?

Local collection members in coastal areas around the globe exchange the plastic they collect for secure income and life-improving benefits such as health insurance, meal vouchers, school supplies, and more.

The collected plastic is then reprocessed into Social Plastic® feedstock, a recycled form of plastic that can be used in new products and packaging, reintroducing them into the global manufacturing supply chain.

When they accumulate again, this same plastic is then retrieved by collection members and the process starts all over.

Through these efforts, Plastic Bank is able to make a positive impact on both local communities and the environment. By contributing to social recycling in collaboration with Plastic Bank, we’ve been a plastic net-zero brand since 2021.

We’re supporting the regenerative society by helping Plastic Bank reimagine ocean plastic as a resource. Instead of polluting our waterways, this collected plastic gets reintroduced into the global manufacturing supply chain. Also, collectors in vulnerable coastal communities get paid immediate, above-market bonuses to help create a path out of poverty for them, and their families.
